Fifteen months after launching the
visitor counter,

month...in case you couldn't do the math. Thanks to everyone who has visited the ever changing website, blog, photo journal, running commentary, media
outlet. Keep spreading the vanity!
Holy Canoly! "The Amazing Race 7" features Survivor All-Stars winner Amber and her fiance Rob. Also on the show is the most flaming gay couple ever. It's usual just one of the gays is extrovertly flamboyant, but these boyfriends take the cake. I suppose they do provide comic relief...they simply can't break a nail. There's also a mother and gay son team.
The Oprah Winfrey Show features Mariah Carey in Oprah's "Wildest Dreams" episode. A 12-year-old Hawaiian boy has his
dream fulfilled by recording in the studio with Mariah. He also receives a recording contract to record a song to be produced by the one and only MARIAH
CAREY. My wildest dream will come true when I meet Mariah Carey on Oprah's "I'm The World's Biggest Mariah Carey Fan" episode airing in April.
It's the beginning of my Mariah mania. First Oprah, and then the eagerly anticipated second single is played on radio in New York and ripped onto the Internet. "We Belong Together" is fucking amazing. The next day, "It's Like That" the video premieres on MTV's "Making The Video." The clip is part one of a two-part video marathon continued with her next video for "We Belong Together." It seems Mariah is still having fun depicting ex-husband Tommy Mottola. It's not enough that she made a video, "Honey," in which she's saved from an older gangster-type by a young stud riding a jet ski. In "We Belong Together," Carey wears the Vera Wang wedding dress she sported during her 1993 wedding to Mottola. As in "Honey," Carey is attached in the video to an older man who only wants to go ballroom dancing and partake in activities preferred by older people. She's rescued by another young stud who wants to show her the good life. The title, "We Belong Together," is a reference to the young man ... not the old one. Ouch! Go Mariah! You're so HOT TAMALE!
Sherri's in town visiting her boy toy and she makes me meet her boyfriend Sol. My approval means so much to her. We have drinks at the Druid, but soon the place becomes tired so we walk over to Suede and meet up with Les and Glen. It's a night of bitching and Sol segues himself into the conversation nicely. I meet up with my bar buddies at Buddy's and it's a strange night. Sarah is letting all the guys touch her boobs, Michelin is kissing the "male hooker" and it's Scott's birthday. Scottie is a hottie and he's wasted. I'm dancing to Mariah's "It's Like That" but there's a guy on the dance floor singing more loudly than me. Still I am Mariah Carey's biggest fan in the world.

Congratulations to Jordan on becoming an uncle. Further congrats are to his sister Jennifer for giving birth to a healthy baby boy named Daniel at 6 lbs, 5 ounces. Both mother and father Eugene are doing well.
Lany calls me up and wants to join me at the Roost. But I pick my drag mother up and we have another plan. It's time to try on my outfits for my upcoming drag debut. With the help of Linda, Judd, Rose, and Share Bear, I find three terrific dresses. If I'm going to dress up, I'm going to go all out. It's the diva in me. Share Bear is awesome and alters two of my dresses...I have a problem with my massive shoulders and arms...now I can breathe in them. After my fashion show, we drive over to the Roost, where Lany is hit on by "Vanessa." She looks like a he.
U2's return to North America, the 3rd Leg of the Vertigo tour is announced. Unfortunately Edmonton is not one of the cities they'll be playing. Instead
I'll be flying to New York City to see them play at Madison Square Garden over Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. It's going to be surreal. I'll be seeing U2
play on the West Coast in April and then see them on the East Coast in the fall.
Finally my U2-puter is fixed. All the fuckups with Windows XP are gone. I wonder how long I can go without getting a goddamn virus on the machine.

Canada hosts its largest national memorial Edmonton for four young Royal Canadian Mounted Police Constables, drawing more than 11,000 Mounties and law
enforcement officers from across North America and thousands more strangers who weep openly. As many people as possible crowd into the University of
Alberta's Butterdome to witness the ceremony for the fallen officers. Const. Peter Schiemann, Const. Brock Myrol, Const. Leo Johnston and Const. Anthony
Gordon were gunned down March 3 while guarding marijuana plants and stolen auto parts discovered on a farm near Mayerthorpe. James Roszko then turned the gun
on himself. After two hours of eulogies and tributes, thousands of officers put on their hats and salute four members as they carry the RCMP flag through
the crowd, followed by the red-clad honour guard.
The plan was to have a makeup rehearsal on my face a week before my debut. But Lany's been drinking the vino with her friend Tonya and well you get the idea. The girls join me out at the bar. Tonya is a gay club virgin but after we took her virginity, I'm sure she'll be tagging along with us in the future dancing at the clubs. My fag hag has me practice wearing my heels by having me wear them to the bar. My feet are in utter hell. This drag queen thing isn't looking promising.

Bruce Springsteen inducts U2 into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame March 14, 2005 and then joins them on stage. Paying a generous and humorous tribute to the
biggest band in the world in his induction speech, Springsteen describes U2 as "keepers of some of the most beautiful sonic architecture in the rock-and-roll
world". He recalls being at an early U2 show in London along with Pete Townshend of The Who and remembers "the young Bono, single-handedly pioneering the
Irish mullet. U2 hungered for it all and built a sound, and they wrote the songs that demanded it." In a moving ten minute tribute, full of warmth as well
as wit, Springsteen says that U2 were "both a step forward for rock and a direct descendant of the great bands who believed if they played their best they
could bring out the best in you." "Unos, dos, tres, catorce," he quotes the count-down at the beginning of 'Vertigo'. "That translates as 1,2,3,14.
That is the correct math for a rock'n'roll band." A packed audience of 1500 for the 20th annual ceremony of the Rock'n' Roll Hall of Fame at New York's
Waldorf Astoria hotel also saw the induction of The Pretenders led by Chrissie Hynde, soul veterans Percy Sledge and The O'Jays as well as blues-guitar
great Buddy Guy. The ceremony, which began at 7pm, was still cooking at midnight. It turns into a unique meeting of
the rock'n'roll tribe with celebrated artists from Mariah Carey, Eric Clapton, and Robbie Robertson mingling with the Hollywood A-list like Catherine
Zeta-Jones and Richard Gere. There's Edge talking to Eric Clapton. And that's Bono hanging with Bruce and Robbie Robertson. U2's friendship with Springsteen
goes way back and it was Bono who inducted him into the Hall of Fame in 1999. Springsteen's speech was 'incredibly generous, you felt that there was a real
affinity between the Italian-American and the Irish.' And U2 were also on form, in words and music. No sooner had they been inducted than Bono, Edge, Larry
and Adam all took the microphone with emotional speeches, recognising that their success over a quarter of a
century left them in debt to many other people.
It's been two and a half years since I last had my eyes examined. In all that time, my eyes have yet to change. My optometrists recommends the Night & Day contacts...
Elton John calls Rufus Wainwright an "as-yet unheralded American treasure" and Rolling Stone describes
his songs as "breathtaking." The young singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist creates lush and theatrical pop centered around piano melodies. Rufus
balances his striking tenor and intimate lyrics wtih intricate harmonies and orchestral rhythms. The US, Canada and Germany are treated to an iTunes
exclusive live set "Alright, Already" from Rufus' recent gig in Montreal.
For nearly three days I am hyperventilating...the stress of making my drag debut really rushes to my head. But on the day of the show, I just say "fuck it" in all my diva glory and decide I'm going to have fun, kick ass and have one hell of a show. For over three hours, my drag mother Roxy Storm and my stepmother Lany pile on layer upon layer of makeup. Later in the night, one girl said I had the best drag makeup she's ever seen. Of course I do because my fag hag contours and shapes my face, plus I have such awesome high cheek bones. In true drag fashion, Roxy, Charity Case and I show up at Woody's later than expected. The Green With Envy Benefit for Pride Squad Edmonton begins at 7pm. Our Broadway-themed show was suppose to commence at 10pm but that's when we three divas make our grand entrances.

Originally I had two tall guys who agreed to carry me in and I would make one hell of a drag debut. However Kelsey has a date...so I don't blame him. The poor fella hasn't been laid in 11 months. 11 long and lonely months. I wonder how he does it. And Matt forgot but I gather he was fooling around with his husband. So I had to visualize and change the choreography of my routine. My mother Roxy gives out props to Lany for doing my makeup and she introduces me as her daughter she's been trying to get do drag for 2.5 years. "Introducing my lovely daughter...Ms. Wei Kim!"

My performance number is a song from the Broadway show "Flower Drum Song," the first all-Asian cast. "I Enjoy Being A Girl" is my debut number and I think I did a better job than Sarah Jessica Parker does in the current Gap commercial...at the least I have a prettier nose. My number goes without a hitch...except for the one part where I had a little stumble in my heels, but only the seasoned drag watcher or the person sitting in the front, Share Bear, would see. During my number, Roxy and Charity join me onstage as the "All-American Chinese Dream, Linda Low and her fresh off the boat dancers." I don't like sharing the stage with anyone...so I kick and push them off the stage. When Wei Kim is performing, all eyes will be on her. Once I'm off stage, my gay friends rush over and tell me how fucking awesome I am. For a moment, I feel like Miss America winning the crown. Overall my performance ranks as one of the better debut numbers in the history of Edmonton's drag community. Even Godiva, in all her Goddessly Diva wonder, gives me props. She also renames me "Wei Wei Too Much." Thank God it's Wei Wei and not Wee Wee.
I am the only drag queen of the night to change costumes. All three of my outfits are fabulous and in total they cost less than $30. Being skinny is a blessing. I spent more on pantyhose though. I am very proud of my drag debut. I think I did the best that I could for a no-rhythm-can't-dance-can't- lypsynch-because- I-sing-a-halfbeat-behind-kind of guy.
We head downstairs to Buddy's. I can barely walk but I somehow manage. I miraculously dance to one song...and that of course is Mariah Carey's "It's Like That." I'm wearing my Mariah Butterfly thong.

The girls leave Buddy's at 3am and we rush back to Brad's pad. I am the first one out of my outfit. My feet are fucking killing me, plus my boys need room to breathe. I don't understand why drag queens would go through all the trouble of tucking...it's fucking painful. Especially when you're wearing a thong on top and your friend gives you a wedgie. The boys joke that it's Garrett in Thailand. The night is awesome. I was too nervous to eat supper but I guess when your adrenalin is pumping, a girl gets the job done. With all the drinks I consume, it is astonishing I didn't fall in my heels. Brad the prince that he is orders Rose Bowl pizzas at 4 in the morning. I think I didn't even chew.

After a night in drag, I'm exhausted. But I do manage to go out and attend the Entertainer of the Year contest at Boots. My drag great grandmother's is Entertainer of the Year 2004 and it is her stepdown. Donatella hands over the new title to Ms. Connie Lingua.

This year I take both my Alanas to the circus. Alana sure does love the show. I buy her a Dora The Explorer balloon, but it's faulty and the balloon detaches from the string and it floats to the ceiling of Rexall Place. Thankfully the guy who sold it to me didn't make a fuss and gave me another balloon.

All the excitement and stress of Wei Wei's drag debut leaves him wei wei too sick with the flu.
"We Belong Together" Premieres Exclusively on MSN Music. Island Def Jam recording artist Mariah Carey is preparing for one of the biggest success

arrive in stores April 12. If you want to be the first on your block to own Mariah Carey's hot new single "We Belong Together," MSN Music is the exclusive

It's the start of a long weekend...well it's a long weekend for some. Unfortunately not all of us have a 4-day weekend; some of us still need to work. At Buddy's and run into my bar buddies...they're all licking Lonnie for some reason. When my drag mother Roxy Storm shows up, she informs me that she got knocked up and gave birth to another daughter whose name I so handily forget. I am still the best and hottest daughter. But Roxy better slow down...she might get a reputation for having all these daughters; some might say she gets around a lot. On Good Friday I wasn't planning on going out. But Les calls saying Betty wants to go out. We have a couple drinks at Blue Chicago and then I leave Les, Betty and the others and show up at Buddy's. Brad is groping the Greek Egyptian stud Tony. Some may remember Tony from February when he first came out. And finally after months of eyeing me, Dirk, the shirtless Belgian guy finally approaches me and talks. I bring him over to Brad and ask him if Dirk is suitable or not.

I can't fucking believe that I don't have a backup of my files for my website. I accidentally, and also fucking stupidly, delete February 2005 and I'm in pieces trying to rewrite the entire month. This is going to drive me crazy. I love the fact that my website is an online journal and I capture the immediate feeling and thoughts of events as they unfold.
I didn't want to give Alana some regular Easter basket from Walmart. Their baskets have such bad choccolate in them. Instead I decide to put together my own...and $68 later is one expensive basket with decent chocolate in it.
Happy 35th Anniversary Mariah! The angelic diva will always hold a dear place in my heart. I finally get a hold of the 14 tracks of "The Emancipation of
Mimi" off the Internet. I will buy several copies of the CD when it is officially released in 16 days....but till then I'll be listening to the fabulous
songs on my iPod. Mimi spends her special day in London celebrating with a life-size Mariah replica birthday cake.
Like with the other Christian holiday, I spend Easter at Rose & Jostein's. Rose's Easter baskets are unique and wonderful. It's amazing where she finds all the good shit. Dinner is such a feast with a delicious ham, scalloped potatoes, sweet potatoes, dirty mashed potatoes, asparagus, roast beef, broccoli slaw AND cabbage rolls!

After dinner the plan was to watch a movie with Dirk. But my drag mother phones and reminds me about Buddy's production number, the reworked and dragnified "Connie & The Chocolate Factory" with Connie Lingua, my great great grandmother Godiva, and Ashley Love. My entrance into the city's drag community is exhausting. It's four nights in a row I'm bar hopping. But the production is fabulous. The only sad part of the night is the attendance. Great shows like "Chocolate Factory" needs to be seen by the masses. I'm also surprised not to see Patrick in the audience, since he was the one who reminded me about the show.

On "Guero," Beck's eighth album, he returns to what he does best, hopping from genre to genre, hustling for scraps of beat and rhyme. He has reunited with
the Dust Brothers, the producers behind his 1996 masterpiece, "0Odelay," for his liveliest and jumpiest music in years. Suggested ad slogan: The slack is
back!
I decide I don't want to cook dinner and rather go out dining. I inform Dirky of this and he just can't resist. We enjoy a lovely dinner at the Sicilian Pasta Kitchen. Damn I love those mussels. Dirky lurky is just going to be a friend and I'm fine with that. I can always use more friends. It's just finding guys to date that is hard.
Mariah Carey graces the cover of Blender magazine. Honey, she is emancipated! Pick up your copy and read about her
slamming new record out in April, "The Emancipation of Mimi."

U2 Vertigo Tour begins in San Diego, California. The first leg of their world tour is just 28 dates in 13 North American cities. All U2 fans should rejoice
that there's a new coffee table book by U2 photography Anton Corbijn. Tens of millions of U2 fans are intimately familiar with his work, even if they don't
know his name. Anton is responsible for all the most iconic images of U2 from an Irish castle in 1984 to a French airport in 2001 - and all points in
between. Since being sent to New Orleans to photograph the band for the UK music paper NME in 1982, Anton has shot U2 in dozens of locations and at
hundreds of shows. That no modern rock photographer and band have a comparable relationship is abundantly clear with the publication of 'U2 & I', a weighty
photographic record of 400 shots which documents two decades in the life of U2.
